PES 2014 Officially Announced by KONAMI

PES 2014 Officially Announced by KONAMI

Following on from the teaser trailer at the end of last week – PES 2014 has officially been announced by Konami. 3 screenshots and a press release land just 2 days ahead of the Konami Pre-E3 show.
The official press release is a bit of a monster – in a good way of course. It details the 6 areas that Kei Masuda and his team have worked on to ensure that they are getting the most out of Hideo Kojima’s Fox Engine.

They are: TrueBall Tech, Motion Animation Stability System (M.A.S.S.), Heart, PES ID, Team Play and The Core.
We’ll bring you some detailed analysis of this later on – but to summarise, the key points are:
  • Improved animations
  • greater player and ball movements and interactions
  • more environmental impacts (through the new ‘heart’ system)
  • and a lot more player ID.
kit textures, and stadiums – and the way teams enter (which instantly makes me think of the corner entry at Old Trafford.
We’ve also been treated to a “mock up” of the pack art and the PES 2014 match ball :
